Position Overview

ZO Motors North America LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of zero-emission energy commercial vehicles, is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop full-stack vehicle telematics software for remote vehicle monitoring and data management using React.js or Vue.js, integrated with AWS.
  • Use C, C++ and Python to create vehicle human-machine interface software for the Linux system, and control software for embedded control units.
  • Use MATLAB Simulink to develop vehicle control software for Vehicle Control Units, including complete vehicle control logic, and create test software to validate control logics.
  • Conduct vehicle software upgrades, configuration, validation, and diagnostics, using Vector tools such as CANape and CANalyzer.
  • Create software requirements for third-party vehicle components and collaborate directly with vendors to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Manage software development workflows, including waterfall and agile methodologies, to enhance team efficiency.
  • Manage software version control with Git and GitHub for efficient team collaboration.
  • Create test plans for driving, security, accuracy and user experience to validate the software, and perform the test plans and evaluate the results.
  • Analyze vehicle operation data to identify vehicle usage and maintenance trends, supporting the marketing team.

Requirements and Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering or related, plus 1 year software engineer experience in auto manufacturing industry developing and testing software for vehicles using MATLAB Simulink, Full-stack development, C, C++, Python, Git, GitHub, Vector tools, CAN protocols, AWS and IoT.
